Quick update on recent happenings...
Newburyport striper fishing continues to remain very reliable and consistent. The past weeks we are averaging more keepers per trip than before and still continue to pound on 26" - 27" stripers in the Merrimack River. For late July, this is really really good fishing. Mackerel have moved back closer to home and hopefully no more runs to the Isles of Shoals. We even have had some sporadic movement of.....BLUEFISH! However, they come and go and haven't settled down just yet. I hope they do as they are so fun to catch!
Shark fishing Jeffrey's Ledge is also in full swing and I will begin taking shark trips from here on out. If you thought stripers were fun, just wait till you pull on one of these bad Larry's.
It has been a great season so far and has no signs of slowing down. Just a reminder that I start coaching August 19th and will be limited to Sundays only from there on out so if you are thinking about charter fishing out of Newburyport please book soon.

Nathan capping off an amazing striped bass charter with his Dad with a 37" with so many other fish we easily lost count. We released this guy along with a couple other keepers!

Cheryl, Chris, and the boys battled some rough seas and early sloppy weather but managed to grab a nice 33" to go along with a ton at 27" just missing the cut.
Took out the boys from the dock and they killed it with 8 keepers and bunch of shorts! I even took my first one home for the season!

Hilari doing work on Manolin Charters afternoon trip! She and Mike caught roughly 8 keepers (all released) with another 8 shorts for a quick, last minute 2 hour trip!!
They must be thick! I must admit the few times this season I have been fortunate to throw a line in I have been connecting with some nice fish! Nice 40" 20# bass
